People
In Microsoft Teams, members are team participants who collaborate through the Microsoft Teams platform.
In GoApprove, People are coworkers who can access the app within your organisation via Microsoft Teams.
Each person in GoApprove has a Role that determines their permissions, such as installing apps, creating approvals, or managing Groups. By default, every person is assigned the Member role. For more details about roles, click here.
No matter the Role, anyone in the app can be assigned one or more Activities in an approval. People can also be allowed to start an approval by opening the correct form, which triggers the approval. They can also be added to Groups (see below).

Managing People
Account Owners and Admins can manage People.

Assigning People - Triggers
Account Owners and Admins can, while creating or updating an approval, give people permission to start it.

Assigning People – Activities
Account Owners and Admins can, while creating or updating an approval, assign people to its Activities.
Groups
Groups are teams of people who handle similar activities in approvals or are allowed to start an approval by completing and submitting a form. Each Group has a name and includes one or more People. Assigning Activities or Trigger Forms to a Group instead of individuals ensures that if someone is unavailable, another member can complete the Activity or start the approval.
